Moneymadeclear
The Moneymadeclear service gives you impartial information and guidance about your money to help you work out what’s right for you. We won’t sell you anything and we don’t recommend specific products or providers.
Moneymadeclear is brought to you by the Consumer Financial Education Body (CFEB).
We provide impartial information through various channels.
- Our main Moneymadeclear site includes a comprehensive range of step-by-step guides to help you with money decisions and information on a wide range of financial products and services. It also includes:
- Comparison tables to help you to compare financial products (including savings accounts, mortgages and pensions) based on charges and other features; and
- interactive tools to help you manage your money (for example budget, loan and mortgage calculators) or to help you make financial decisions (for example a Financial healthcheck, Debt test and Pension calculator).
- Our tailored Moneymadeclear sites have detailed information for people at specific stages.
- What about money? – aimed at 16-24 year olds. It includes information and tools for young people at lifestages they can identify with.
- The Parent’s guide to money – whether you work with families or are starting your own, you will know that staying in control of your finances can be a challenge. On this site you’ll find lots of information, resources and calculators to help you plan, budget and save money. The guide is also available in print – see below.
- Divorce and separation – if you’re going through divorce, separation or civil partnership dissolution, this site can help you with the financial issues you may face and explain the legal processes involved.
- Our free Moneymadeclear printed guides
- Free printed guides – covering a wide range of topics, both general and product specific.
- The Parent’s guide to money – available to expectant and new mums, from midwives.
- The Redundancy Handbook – available through some employers. You can view it here or you can order a copy by calling us – see Contact us.
- Your Guide to Retirement – available through some employers if you’re approaching retirement. You can view it here or you can order a copy by calling us – see Contact us.
- Trained Trained advisers who you can talk to, over the phone or face to face – provided by CFEB in partnership with Government. The national face-to-face service is due to be in place later in 2010.
Welsh
We have a range of material in Welsh and our range is growing as we develop.
- A number of our Moneymadeclear free printed guides are available in Welsh.
- The Parent’s guide to money website is available in Welsh, and the printed guide is available in Welsh from midwives.
- Your Guide to Retirement and The Redundancy Handbook are available in Welsh online only.
